Dark Chocolate Cranberry Protein Energy Bites

I had no idea how these babies would turn out. But boy am I glad I practiced a bit of faith and threw caution to the wind (or in this case chocolate to the mix!) and rolled em up anyways.

If you haven’t tried my 4 Ingredient Protein Bites already, uhm where have you been?! And secondly, those bites became a family favourite, but these Dark Chocolate Cranberry Protein Bites have taken the spotlight and are my dad’s favourite snack I have ever made.

Dark Chocolate Cranberry Bites
 

Dark Chocolate Cranberry Protein Bites

Makes: 32 protein bites

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups dates (280g)

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds (130g)

  • 2 scoops Kaizen Naturals Caramel Chocolate Chip Protein Powder

  • 2-3 tbsp almond milk

  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds (100g)

  • ½ cup dried cranberries (50g)

  • ½ cup dark chocolate, roughly chopped (40g)

  • ½ tsp sea salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place the dates, sunflower seeds, protein powder and almond milk in a food processor and blend until the batter starts to form into a ball and clump together.

  2. Transfer the dough into a large mixing bowl and fold in the pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, dark chocolate and sea salt.

  3. Using a tbsp to scoop the dough, roll the mixture into bite sized balls.

  4. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
