I had no idea how these babies would turn out. But boy am I glad I practiced a bit of faith and threw caution to the wind (or in this case chocolate to the mix!) and rolled em up anyways.
If you haven’t tried my 4 Ingredient Protein Bites already, uhm where have you been?! And secondly, those bites became a family favourite, but these Dark Chocolate Cranberry Protein Bites have taken the spotlight and are my dad’s favourite snack I have ever made.
Ever made! That’s HUGE!
I won’t make you wait a second longer, so here is the recipe you’ve been waiting for. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to be making batches of these sweet delights because they’ll be gone before you know it!
Dark Chocolate Cranberry Protein Bites
Makes: 32 protein bites
2 cups dates (280g)
1 cup sunflower seeds (130g)
2 scoops Kaizen Naturals Caramel Chocolate Chip Protein Powder
2-3 tbsp almond milk
1 cup pumpkin seeds (100g)
½ cup dried cranberries (50g)
½ cup dark chocolate, roughly chopped (40g)
½ tsp sea salt
Place the dates, sunflower seeds, protein powder and almond milk in a food processor and blend until the batter starts to form into a ball and clump together.
Transfer the dough into a large mixing bowl and fold in the pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, dark chocolate and sea salt.
Using a tbsp to scoop the dough, roll the mixture into bite sized balls.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
